HALMSTAD ENERGI & MILJÔ ORDER CACTUS GRABS FOR WASTE
HEM buys two electrohydraulic MRS cactus grabs to handle waste at Kristinehedsverket
Following a public tendering process, supported by Danish consultancy Ramboll, HEM ordered two 2 m3 MRS grabs from Port-Trade.
The grabs will be used to operate around the clock, feeding waste incineration lines P1 and P2, each having a capacity of 5 t/h.
The grabs were designed to meet HEM’s requirements for reliability and minimum maintenance.
Consequently, the grab steel construction has been reinforced with high grade steel plate and manganese steel edges and tips, reducing wear from the waste itself and from frequent contact with the concrete bunker walls.
Bearings are made maintenance fee, eliminating daily greasing requirements.
Waste incineration is a growing market and MRS are an important supplier of high quality waste grabs.
