The new feeder, handling bone and meat meal, is the third Feeder unit that AET orders from
Samson Materials Handling Ltd. The first two handle wood chips and wet draff in an AET biomass
power plant in Scotland.
The new Samson Feeder will receive biofuels from tipping trucks and feed the material into a new
42 MWt / 12 MWe Combined Heat and Power (CHP) plant that AET will build for JG Pears Power
Ltd. at Newark, Nottinghamshire.
The biomass plant will be commissioned in early 2018 and will replace 90% of the fossil fuels
presently used at the facility.
